There will be no school on Monday, September 5 in observance of Labor Day.

All call for 4:00 pm today!
Our Vision: By inspiring greatness, all students will realize their worth and potential.
Our Mission: At Union-Scioto School District, students will learn, lead and make a difference.
Our Motto: Today’s Learners, Tomorrow’s Leaders.
I would like to thank our parents and students for helping with a successful start to the new school year. We appreciate everyone’s patience with the morning and afternoon traffic issues. It has actually been relatively smooth compared to previous start of the school years. I have received feedback that parents have been very patient, courteous, and professional to each other and to staff, especially in the mornings. So a big thank you! Lets keep this going!
A special thanks to our high school students and parents for their understanding and cooperation with our improved cell phone policy. We recognize the challenge it has presented and are very impressed and appreciative of our students' response and support. I can personally say, it has been exceptionally encouraging and exciting to see our students engaging in conversation with each other and actually making direct eye contact! So thank you students, parents, and staff for your role in improving and supporting our goal to provide students with an optimal learning environment and educational experience at the U! Thank you!!
Due to a shortage of bus drivers and other related transportation issues we will be adjusting our morning and afternoon routes to attempt to best accommodate our students and families and continue to provide transportation to as many routes as possible. Busing students can expect an approximate 10 minute later pick up in the mornings starting next week on Tuesday, September 6. Please continue to be patient and understanding as we work through these new challenges as best we can. We may have to make additional adjustments as the year progresses and apologize in advance for any inconveniences this may create for families. You can expect changes and adjustments and traffic flow challenges particularly in the mornings. You can expect some to be last minute and we will do our best to communicate as timely as feasibly possible.
Open enrollment applications need to be turned in as soon as possible. These forms need to be completed each school year.
I do have some bad news to announce and hope all will understand and make the very best of a tough tough situation. No school on Monday, September 5, 2022 due to Labor Day. Yes, no school on Monday. Do your best to enjoy the upcoming extended weekend. I realize it is early in the school year to be missing a Monday and our students will be terribly upset by not having school. Make the best of it students!
Students - remember to bring it each day. Bring your best. Be focused and disciplined. Pay attention in class and be motivated to learn and grow. Listen to your teachers. Listen to your parents. Make good decisions. Decisions that are good for you today. Decisions that are good for you tomorrow and into the future. Good decisions are good for you. Good for your friends, your family and for us all. It matters. What you do…matters. Anything less is a disservice to yourself and those around you. Bring it!!
Go Tanks!

Breakfast and lunch menus are now available for September! Breakfast is free for all students and the cost of lunches is located on the right side of the menu.
We ask that ALL families please complete and return the free and reduced lunch application. Having this information helps our school district!
