All call for 4:00 pm today! Our Vision: By inspiring greatness, all students will realize their worth and potential. Reminder Thursday, March 9 is an early release, and Friday, March 10 there is no school for students as staff will be participating in professional development. This evening at Southeastern our undefeated varsity girls' basketball team will compete for the District Championship vs Sheridan at 9 pm. Congratulations on an outstanding regular season and excited to watch them compete this evening. They definitely saved the best game for last! The wrestling team will be competing tomorrow in sectionals at Galia Academy. Congratulations to Kylie Fowler for qualifying for the district tournament in bowling! She will compete on February 28 at HP Lanes in Columbus. Congratulations to our boy's bowling team on an undefeated regular season and sectional win! Great job bowlers and coaches! Be thankful for today. Be thankful for yesterday. Be thankful for the potential of tomorrow. It goes without saying but many times needs to be said…tomorrow is no guarantee. Be thankful and grateful for each and every day you have. It is so easy to focus on our problems, disadvantages, discomforts, and challenges even to the point sometimes you have to give some thought to something positive in your life. Some real thought. Ask yourself, what is one positive situation, experience, or event you had recently and why. Make a habit of it. Nothing bad will come from making a habit of thinking and appreciating the positives in your life. When you focus on the positives you can’t focus on the negatives. Your brain won’t let you. Flood it with your positives and weed out the negatives as much as you can. Most would agree it’s natural to prioritize your problems and feel yours are the worst. Others just don’t understand know or understand how tough you have it. If others only knew. There may be times that is the case. But more often than not, most people wouldn’t trade their problems for someone else's problems. No thanks! It is also easy to forget how worse our problems or things could be. Just as things can always get better they can also get worse. At a moment's notice. So, be mindful of the value of focusing on the positives and being thankful and grateful for as much as you can. Be thankful! Have a great weekend and remember to carry your own weather, hard work works, be thankful, and 3 days til Monday!! Go Tanks!
