The middle school boys and girls basketball games for this evening against Piketon have been canceled. There will be no practice this evening. The make-up date will be shared once it is set.

Unioto’s military recognition night will be this Saturday January 15th. All veterans and active military men and women will be given free admission to the boys basketball game against Piketon. A free dinner from 4:30-6:00 will be served at the high school for our military members. This event is open to all military members and veterans in Ross County. Come out and enjoy a great night of basketball and an opportunity to pay tribute to members of our community who have protected our great nation. Thank you - Thank you - Veterans!

Good morning Tanks! Rise and shine today! Yes I know it is early in the morning...maybe too early for an all call. Be excited for the day ahead.
Next week is Thanksgiving break and we will be in session Monday and Tuesday. No school Wednesday thru Friday. Enjoy the time with your family and friends and be thankful for the blessings and opportunities afforded to us all.
Students, this has been on my mind a bit lately and I feel very compelled to share. The cell phone can be a powerful, very powerful tool for your personal development and improvement efforts if utilized properly. Social media can be as well. You will find what you are looking for...if you are looking for drama, negativity, divisiveness, and trouble it can be found. If you are looking for positivity, encouragement, connection, and growth it can be found. Think about what you find yourself drawn to and focused on. Think about it. There is real strength in making good decisions with your time and thoughts. Be selfish with what you allow yourself to be focused on and where and how you spend your time. Here is another thought I was exposed to on social media and would like to share. If you are trying to do your best and improve yourself and get your life in order and your “friends” get in your way that is actually really helpful for you because you have now identified who your friends aren’t. You might think I can’t give them up. Yes you can and yes you should. It will actually be better for you and them. If they are aiming down and they want you going down with them there is nothing about that that is good for them or for you. Choose your friends wisely. It is one of your most important decisions as a child and as an adult.
